It’s A Big Step, But Worth It (for Me….)
Welcome to the Weightloss Surgery site at Every Side of Life.
My name is Lynn and I am a Gastric Banding Patient, also known as a Lap Band. I have had my Band for 2 years. I have been at my goal weight a little over a year.
Throughout my journey of weight gain, dieting, weight loss surgery research, surgery and weight loss, I was able to find many resources. I will be sharing those with you as well as new and current information.
If you are looking for specific information, I may be able to find the resource you are looking for.
This is a qwest for health. It is not a numbers contest. You will see that on your own path to successful weight loss surgery, a number or size will not be the end all. There were no parties when I achieved goal, no ticker tape parades and no bathing suit contests. I had to marvel in my own self confidence and the admiration of those around me. However, I learned that there is always a constant struggle and that the ultimate prize is our health.
Bariatric surgery is not a quick fix. It is a tool and that is that. You still have to do the work.
That being said, I’d still go through the whole process. Not everyone would agree with me. But, it was the right decision for me.
