Weight Loss Surgery Explained
Weight loss surgery is an option to help you lose weight. Although it has serious risks, many people throughout the world are seeking answers about whether it is a viable option for them.
There are several techniques used today by Bariatric surgeons. The two main procedures are
(Two well known versions include Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass (RGB) and
DISTAL Gastric Bypass (Duodenal Switch, Biliopancreatic Division)

Gastric Banding
(Two well known versions are Laproscopic Band and Vertical banded gastroplasty.)

If you are interested in weight loss surgery, I urge you to gain as much knowledge as possible before you speak to a surgeon.
Also know that many friends and family members will be against your desire to have surgery. Please bear in mind that this is a decision that only you and your doctor can make together. Family and friends oftentimes do not or have not walked in your shoes an may not understand the emotional and physical frustration you may be feeling.
